A material construction showcasing the interaction of the digital technology with the physical embroidery through animation. When I say interactive, I mean my embroidery pieces coming to life as well as telling a story to make the audience more connected to the bespoke embroidery pieces constructed, through animation which connects the wearer to the viewer. CONCEPT : The strength of emotion present within Medusa’s story has inspired the development of this textile sample. For this I have used traditional frame by frame animation technique on procreate to give life to my motifs as well as portray my interpretation of medusa’s characteristics. The sample is called "Medusa Girl or Gorgon - flower head or snake skeleton" this particular sample uncovers the truth within the past. To intentionally transform negatives into positives, my designs take the creative liberty to answer a what if? question regarding Medusa’s signature magical ability. I have collaborated with an app designer Raja Suresh who worked on Spark AR Studio to make my animation as an Instagram filter to make it an interactive textile sample.
